Sunday trip to Narew river and we stalled in a small ditch

The temperature was about 7 degrees, water was about 1-2 deg. I was trying  to drive through the small brook and then it happen...
The winch failed after 2 metres. The winch gear mechanism broke and
we had no other possibilities than wading in really cold water. The situation was really hopeless. Our legs were like logs ; we couldn't move toe's after 1 minute spent in water. Here are some photos.
