Sony or Go Pro? Sony Action Cam AS30V with GPS and WiFi review and comparisions.

Yesterday I've bought the Sony Action Cam. The main purpose was to not pay too much and have the picture stabilized. The camcorder is water resistand and has a "steady" function which I were missing in other sports cameras. Even go pro 3 isn't equipped with video stabilization. And -whats important -the price 220$ is reasonable.
Before the purchase I didn't have any other cams in my hand, but I watched a lot of youtube videos. The stabilization is really adorable. Please watch this ..

Watch for example go pro3 and sony as30v. The difference is shocking! The jelly effect is gone! Of course we cannot set the angle to 170 degrees in steady mode. 

It's because the stabilization algorithm uses both sides of image to generate steady video, so the record is 120 deg. wide. For me it's even better, it's more like first person view and less like fish person view ;-)

Movie is about AS100V, but sound is the same in AS30V. In the same movie at 7:20 you can clearly see the difference in image stabilization between go pro and sony.
